The Pickled Bean Cafe

Often described as the meeting place of Tom Price, The Pickled Bean Café provides a nice space that families, individuals, business people, and tourists alike can enjoy homemade quality food and great coffee.

First opened in 2016 by two locals, then taken over by The Nintirri Centre Inc in 2018 as a social enterprise arm of the not for profit organisation, the café continues to provide their customers with big smiles and exceptional service.

Our cafe offers healthy, hearty homemade meals, with an all-day selection of homemade burgers, salads, quiches, sausage rolls, bruschetta, club sandwiches and a variety of readymade items in the display fridge ready to go using free range eggs. For the sweet tooth there are freshly baked cookies, cheesecake, muffins, and gluten free items plus so much more.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and giving our customers a positive experience and in turn their continued support.

All of the Nintirri Centre Inc’s. services rely on funding agreements so as a social enterprise the profits from the cafe are used to further enhance the services the Nintirri Centre offers the Tom Price Community.

The Pickled Bean employs over 20 staff and have also introduced environmentally friendly packaging and products to the cafe (for example: bio take away coffee cups, bio take away boxes, bio napkins, free range eggs) and our future aim is to provide our community with tools and the platform to bring about positive behavioural change and reduce their ecological and carbon footprint through our café leading the way.

Pay It Forward Program

The Nintirri Centre puts the Pay It Forward (PIF) Program into action at the two Tom Price Primary Schools with the Year 5 and 6 classes. They are enthusiastic and have passionate ideas that we work with them to implement in the community to help achieve the vision of enriching lives and thriving communities.
