The Nintirri Centre Inc. is a not-for-profit community organisation supporting the people of Tom Price and the wider Pilbara region with essential services. Our programs span Early Years Care & Education, Community Health & Wellbeing, Domestic and Family Violence Prevention, Arts and Events, Community Resource Centre, and more, all with the goal of fostering a vibrant, healthy, and connected community. 

About the Role 

We are looking for a proactive and community-focused Community Health and Wellbeing Coordinator and Health Promotion Officer to work with our clinical and health and wellbeing team (including parenting support).  

In this role, you will manage the daily operations of the Community Health and Wellbeing service, foster relationships with key stakeholders, and deliver health programs that address the needs of our community. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Health Promotion 
  • Design and implement health programs, including health promotion, women’s health, mental health, and preventative initiatives. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement 
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners to promote health services across the Inland Pilbara region. 
  • Operations Management 
  • Oversee daily operations,  
  • Social Media presence and communication 
  • Budgeting,  
  • Reporting – quantitative and qualitative for monthly board reports and six-monthly reports to funding bodies 
  • Participate in recruitment 
  • Efficient and effective service delivery 
  • Leadership 
  • Guide and support CHWB team,  
  • Provide mentorship and foster a positive, collaborative team environment.

Selection Criteria 

To be successful, you’ll need: 

  • A Diploma-level qualification (or higher) or min. three years’ experience in a relevant field. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build community relationships. 
  • Experience in community health or wellbeing, ideally within regional or remote areas. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in budget management. 
  • Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and Class C Driver’s License.
