Purpose of the position:

The Nintirri Centre is looking for an enthusiastic adult trainee who is looking to develop their skills and career by completing their studies in one of the following options:

  • Business Administration – Certificate IV
  • Community Care work – Certificate III (in Individual Support)
  • Marketing – Certificate IV
  • Community Services Work – Certificate IV

Position Objectives

 To receive on and off the job training to satisfy the objective and requirements of the specified traineeship under Apprenticeship Support Australia (CCIWA)

  • To provide assistance, under supervision, to officers in the performance of a variety of duties.

The trainee will have the opportunity to develop the skills in the workplace that will transfer over to your study and be presented with fantastic opportunities for personal growth, to learn new skills, develop business relationships, support the community with important services and more.

Selection Criteria

Essential
Basic Keyboard skills
Completion of Year 11 secondary schooling
Working with Children’s Check
Developed numeracy, written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn
Desirable
No formal qualifications: It is desirable that officers are studying for an appropriate certificate.
Year 12 Secondary schooling
Previous Customer service experience
Current C Class license

Essential
Communication: A proven ability to communicate with a variety of groups, including staff and volunteers working at the Centre, community groups, stakeholders, businesses and the community. The successful applicant will need to be approachable and be able to listen and understand community needs. Must have well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Productivity: Proactive and productive person with efficient organisational processes, effective time management skills and a demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and commitments and cope well with the distractions associated with working in an open office environment.
Willingness: Willing to participate in professional and personal development when necessary, and always be open to new ideas and experiences.
General Attitude: Enthusiastic, positive attitude with demonstrated high level of self-direction and an orientation to achieve results under challenging circumstances whilst being approachable and a good listener with an open mind.
Personal Capacity: Flexible working capacity with the ability to contribute to a coherent team as well as work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to prioritise work tasks to fit in with the operational levels of the organisation.
